High Numbers – энергичный и стильный молодежный квартет, созданный гитаристом Pete Townshend (сыном Cliff Townsend — саксофониста оркестра военно-воздушных сил Squadronaires), солистом Roger Daltrey (бывшим участником Detours), басистом John Entwistle (игравшим на французском рожке в молодежном оркестре Миддлсекса) и неистовым и непредсказуемым барабанщиком Keith Moon. Качественные выступления в северном Лондоне обеспечили группе множество поклонников. Особенно популярными были концерты в отеле Railway (Xappoy) – там музыканты особенно часто крушили инструменты на сцене.
